BBC 1 was the orginal TV channel in this country, and has been on our screen for more than 50 years, supplying us with some briilioant TV and shows. They show a range of drama, soaps, there most sucessful being Eastenders, sport and childrens TV. When ever they is a major sporting event, it is normally shown on BBC 1, such as the Olypmics, and Wimbledon. Also, it shares with ITV the coverage of both the world cup and the Euroean Cup tournaments. I enjoy their coverage of these sports, as often, there is continuous coverage, such as the 2008 Olypmics which was shown right throughout the morning, early hours of the morning I mean.

Of course, Eastenders has to be this channels most famous show, which has attracted millions of viewers to BBC 1 over the years, and has created some brilliant actors through the soap. Up until last year, they also showed the Australian soap Neighbours but now it is on channel 5 which is a bit disappointing.

My kids used to watch the childrens TV between the hours of 3pm and 5pm, which some show that are really entertaining, well for kids anyway. There is also around the clock news on the BBC news channel, but that is another review all together.
