I like BBC 1 because it is a consistent channel that always shows fairly decent shows. Given that during the day it is quite boring showing programmes such as 'cash in the attic' and 'homes under the hammer.' By in large, though most shows are alright.
Personally, I don't really tend to watch BBC because the shows aren't really of any intrest to me but a 10pm BBC can always be relied upon to give the best news of any channel avalible.
The other thing about BBC 1 is the fact that it always hosts the big television occasions, such as, 'children in need,' and 'comic relief' which are always amazing shows to wach when they come on.
The important thing to remeber about the BBC is that is it a public service and as such is required by law to show some of the programmes it forced to show.
All in all, it is reliable and consistent and worth watching for the news and weather.
