BBC1 - One of the best channels (BBC 1)

Advantages: Dramas and costume dramas and Eastenders

Disadvantages: Not brilliant comedies anymore

BBC1 is a TV channel that has been around for decades, BBC1 throughout the years has always seemed to show the best TV programs for example the classic Steptoe and Son and other brilliant British comedies. Although the BBC seems to not be producing any great comedies like these any more, they still do have some great somes on there.

BBC1 always gets good coverage of the Eurovision song contest and other great events which is a plus, they create brilliant costume dramas and adaptations such as Cranford and Jane Eyre, which in my opinion was the best made Jane Eyre adaptation yet, the BBC never fail to dissapoint with this genre.

They also have the great Eastenders which has been going for years, which is the only soap I really bother watching. Although people may disagree they do have decent daytime telly compared to other channels and have have programs like Homes under the hammer which I personally like :-)

For me the place they cannot be beaten is on Dramas. The BBC has produced my favourite ever shows Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes which are totally unique and brilliantly clever dramas.

BBC1 in my opinion is the best channel out there and has been for years and is second to none on the programs it produces, except on the comedy front.

Summary: This a good channel compared to others and does show brilliant programs
