Advantages: free if you don't pay licence, news reporting is good, childrens programmes

Disadvantages: rip off if you pay licence fee, crappy constant repeats, poor content

If i paid a TV Licence i would be looking my money back after viewing the crap on bbc.

recently i had subscribed to some cable channels and after constant poor programming and constant repeats i got them all switched off.

somebody should switch the bbc off.

on saturday, prime time, peak time i switched on the telly with the family to watch the news and then afterwards they stuck on only fools and horses... for about the 1000th time. well makes a change from open all hours which had a prime time run last month.

here in the north of ireland the bbc is slighly bias and always seems to take the side of unionists and loyalism. Some programs are badly balanced and the bbc bosses even forced a tv presenter into wearing the poppy. the presenter like 50% of the population here did not want to wear the poppy as it has been hijacked by loyalism. It is seen as some as a sectarian symbol in this divided society in the north..

also every year we have live coverage of the orange parades beemed into our homes. old men and thugs in bowler hats marching through catholics towns were they are not wanted. when it comes to st patricks day the world celebrates irelands day. sadly here in ireland the bbc are lucky to show more than five minutes of st pats celebrations.


programs overall are poor and sadly they keep reverting back to outdated repeats and stupid documentaries about airports. life of grime is good but should not be prime time.


there is some good things though and one has to be the ceebeebies channel - the childrens programs are excellent. eastenders is also becoming a bit more lively with the excellent acting of shane richie and leslie grantham. the news is very good but bbc three and four are a waste of space, time and licence money.

but overall they should scrap the licence.
