I do watch quite a lot of television and the channels I tend to watch the most are ITV1 and Channel 4, I also like ITV2 and BBC3. The channel I don't seem to watch very much is BBC1. There are some unmissable programmes that come from this channel but the majority of them just don't appeal to me. One of the biggest problems I have ... Read the complete review

TV is advancing. It seems that every time I have a browse through the umpteen channels available to me, there is another one that has popped up. This gives you more variety. Sure, most of these channels are onea I wouldn't even look at twice, but if I wanted to, they're there. So, where does this leave the thing that started it all: BBC ... Read the complete review

BBC1 is very much the flagship channel of the BBC. It's been around since the 1930s, and has an annual budget of (get this) over £1,200 million, funded entirely from the license fee. The channel is probably best known for its British TV shows such as EastEnders and Doctor Who, along with the annoying Strictly Come Dancing. For me, it's ... Read the complete review

Me and the BBC did not get off to the best of starts when I was old enough to be fully irritated by the fact that my license fee funds solely them. So perhaps I should take that into account when reviewing the channel. The BBC offers a very mixed bag of programmes to be honest. The morning part of the schedule is the usual mix of day ... It is time the BBC woke up to the fact that they are using the TV licences to finance overpaid Fat Cats and not enough on the quality of their entertainment. I watch the morning news and weather from 6 am each day with a cup of tea and find that within that hour they have covered the day's events twice. One of the most important ... BBC 1, which is commonly known as channel 1, is one of the most known British TV channels. The channel is active constantly, never having 'downtime' as some of the channels now do. What does it show? The BBC 1 channel shows a wide variety of programs - from sport such as football or tennis (particually Wimbledon) to high action ... Read the complete review

BBC One is the BBC or British Broadcasting Corporations leading flagship channel, and is the oldest of all TV channels that are operated by the BBC. BBC first started broadcasting in 1936 and over the years has had a number of name changes, from BBC Television Service, BBC TV, BBC1 and what it is now called BBC One. Due to the history ... BBC1 is a TV channel that has been around for decades, BBC1 throughout the years has always seemed to show the best TV programs for example the classic Steptoe and Son and other brilliant British comedies. BBC1, as the flagship station of the British Broadcasting Corporation, will always come under high scrutiny from the public as we fund it through our annual TV license fee. So naturally, opinion is strong as to whether or not the offering is worth the money for the public. I firmly believe it is and that the programs on the BBC stand the test of ... I like BBC 1 because it is a consistent channel that always shows fairly decent shows. Given that during the day it is quite boring showing programmes such as 'cash in the attic' and 'homes under the hammer.' By in large, though most shows are alright. Personally, I don't really tend to watch BBC because the shows aren't really of any intrest ... Read the complete review

When I first started watching TV there was only BBC1, BBC2 and ITV, and BBC1 was by far the best. This remained the case up until the end of the 1990's when, in my opinion, Aunty Beeb let standards start to slide, and they've been free falling ever since. Granted the BBC1 does have the odd good programme still. They are still the best ... Read the complete review

A couple of months ago, BBC1 Lite was relaunched as "The One" by controller Lorraine Heggessey, and I'm becoming increasingly convinced that she's a bit of a "one" herself.
