Advantages: Snooker

Disadvantages: Lack of quality programmes

BBC is the second channel offered by the BBC and offers viewers a mix of documentary's, comedy and drama. The channel was the british home for the Simpsons for several years before their move to channel 4 and since then BBC 2 has struggled to find the same continously drawing programming to get people watching the channel. BBC 2 is often used as the testing ground for new British comedy with series such as The Office starting out their life on the channel. BBC 3 however has now taken on that mantle and left BBC 2 fairly redundant in that respect. It is still the undisputed home of Snooker however which saves the channel with the World Championships every year. Quiz shows such as the Weakest Link and Eggheads are most often found on BBC 2 and this is all the channel has been left with along with documentary shows not big enough for BBC 1. With the arrival of BBC 3, comedy, and BBC 4, documentary/sport, BBC 2 has been left with little in its corner.

Summary: BBC 3 and 4 have taken its place and best programming
