Advantages: brilliant for a bit of peace and quiet

Disadvantages: I get sick of the repeats!

BBC Choice is a free channel on digital tv, we have cable and my children love watching CBBC on Choice.

CBBC on Choice is aimed at the younger pre-school children and has a wide range of programmes from cartoons and Bob the Builder to educational programmes like Open the door.

CBBC is on Choice from 6am until 7pm when it goes over to more adult programmes like The weekest link and a repeat of Eastenders and lots more. I must admit that I wouldn't watch this channel and I wouldn't know anything about it if it wasn't for the children.

Callum is 2 years 8months and Lucy is nearly 10 months they both enjoy watching Teletubbies and Tweenies on CBBC on Choice but my son loves some of the more educational based programmes as well last week there was one on the different parts of the body and this week they have just started showing OPen the door which is between 5 and ten minutes long and shows a childs day from morning until night in lots of different countries, one countrty per episode, I am quite fascinated by this as well!

CBBC on Choice, as I've already said, starts at 6am and the first programmes come under the title of "Choosy Bits" in which the viewers get to send in letters saying what there favourite programme is. Then at 6.30 they start off the day with the teletubbies and then show a quick 5 or 10 minute cartoon, this week, its something about a spider, and then its the tweenies at 7am. There are in total about 3 hours worth of programmes which are then repeated and repeated and repeated and then end at 6.30pm when they repeat the mornings "Choosy Bits" again.

This must sound awful to you so I had better explain that my children don't watch it all day long but I have been through the browse menu, which is on my cable, and have noticed the pattern repeating.

The most brilliant thing about it is that my kids are kept quiet so I can at least get the housework done or ma
ke Lunch in peace and quiet.

I would certainly reccommend this channel during the day to anyone with pre-school children, the programmes are very educational and fun and above all just right for this age group!

Shame you didn't comment on the adult end of the schedule, but still if you don't watch it, its probably best not to comment. Still a good op.
