Advantages: Good service
Disadvantages: poor weather
Whatever time of day, whatever state of sobriety, whatever the weather, the only constant is 'BBC News 24'. It is by far the only television channel I can watch for hours on end and never get bored. Call me a sad muppet, but I enjoy politics and news in general and watch shows like Question Time and This Week.
BBC News 24 has beat off competition from the ITV News channel which has bitten the dust, its only main rival now is Sky News. I can't watch Sky News for very long though as its adverts every 5 minutes. BBC News 24 also has a funky dance number every time the hour comes around.
BBC News 24 promises the headlines every fifteen minutes which is handy, because you never to wait around for very long until you are up to date with current affairs. And with the quality you expect for you license fee money, the journalism is nearly always top notch. Gavin Estler, Durmut Murgnahan and Robert Peston are always on hand to bring you news in politics, world affairs, war and entertainment news.
In addition to just the news, the channel also has its own independent shows. 'Click' has information on the latest in technology and the web, 'E24' has the latest entertainment news and 'Hardtalk' has hard hitting interviews with the people that make the news. In times of crisis News 24 is always the place to keep up to date, Tsunamis, bombs and everything - News 24 is the place to watch it happen.
I enjoy watching the programme 'Dateline London' which has a group of journalists from around the world discussing the topics of the day. News 24 is also the place to keep up to date with the weather, but let's leave the inaccuracies of BBC weather to another time.
I'm sure you have, but give News 24 a go - its strangely addictive!
Summary: Excellent addictive television!
