This is an excellent service - news, sport and weather 24 hours a day. You can dip in and out of the day’s news stories, and you only have to watch it until the stories repeat themselves to know that you haven’t missed anything. Generally, the news is on an hourly cycle, with stories covered in more depth than they are able to do on normal BBC news bulletins. News 24 now offers a local news service, which is good. The ‘best’ thing is that they are able to cover disasters and big news stories in depth, as they happen, so you get the latest information as quickly as possible.

I seem to spend more time watching this channel than any of the other digital ones - perhaps because they are terrible, but also because it is more interesting to spend half an hour catching up with the world than watching the endless repeats that are passing for entertainment.
