Advantages: Complete news from all over the world . Factual, concise information .

Disadvantages: Would like to see an early morning edition as well as evening

Never more so than in the last few days, BBC America has excelled itself with the coverage of the recent tragic events in New York City, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. From the beginning, it gave up-to-the-moment information as it became available, and was as complete as local US coverage. Since then, it has continued to update us on the situation, on the rescue efforts, on the people stories behind the headlines. The sheer amount of reporting was amazing.
This is not unusual, though. I tend to watch the World News on BBC and then turn to my local network for the news in my state. The World News definitely gives me better coverage on news outside of the US. The other networks only tend to cover stories that have some tie to the US, where the BBC gives me news from all over. On BBC I learned about the events at Holy Cross School in Belfast - which received no coverage on my local station whatsoever.

I have nothing but praise for the Beeb with regard to their coverage of world-wide news. They provide concise information, which appears to be unbiased, so that we can see what is going on in the world around us. Thanks to those who bring us the news and those who work behind the scenes.
This is our world and we ned to know what is going on in it.
