bid tvNewest Review: ... There's a lot of banter and joking on the channel, which makes it strangely addictive. Now don't get me wrong, it's not exactly the most dynamic content in the world, but the funny people on the screen make it easy viewing, and since products only last 5 minutes or so, it's always tempting to see what comes next. The products can be really cheap, although flat-rate post is normally around ... more More other TV channels

BIDTV is a shopping channel with a difference. I HATE shopping channels, but I can watch this one all day! The main concept is that items start cheap, i.e. 1p each, then viewers bid live through their phones which brings the price up and up. The channel became famous for the laid-back style of the presenters. There's a lot of banter and joking on the channel, which makes it strangely addictive. Bid tv is a live auction channel which is owned by the Virgin Media group and sees auctions shown on telelvision through Sky Digital and the internet and offers a huge variety of products. The basic idea of the channel is simple with prices starting high and dropping down as time goes on until the amount of stock available has sold. The prices often start high and drop down to a price that the presenter will act amazed at and through their enthusiasm you will find yourself to be getting pulled into the entire thing and feeling like it is too good to miss what's on offer. The products on offer vary in names known on the highstreet to those you will never have ... Read the complete review

I would suggest that if you see something you like get a figure in your head that you would be prepared to pay for it, take off the £8 for the posatge and then wait till the price gets near to that figure.(e.g. I'd pay £25 for a coat -£8 =£17 so wait for the price to hit £17) Their fragrances can be expensive if you look at prices on the high street although at the time they seem good value. Saying that everything I've ever got from them has been excellent quality and if I've had a problem (only 3 or 4 occasions) there's been no trouble getting a refund.

Bid TV is a teleshopping channel available on Satellite, Cable & Freeview. It is owned by the Sit Up Group, who also own Price Drop TV & Speed Auction TV. Bid TV started live as Bid Up Tv & was the first live auction channel on television. Here viewers would bid for items with the highest bids winning. The channel was soon giving a makeover & name change with items dropping in price & everyone paying the final price at which the item looks up at. Although the items look great value compared to the starting RRP, I would express caution. There are some good buys to be had from the channel but the majority of time the RRP's are ... Bid TV is a TV channel on sky, free view that sells items by having falling price auctions. There is a wide range of items and they are sold in bulk the price starts high, usually far higher than they are worth. Then the price falls until they are all sold or the auction ends. The items and are sold by people that over excited over any old bit of rubbish to try and get you to buy it. You also have to pay postage on all items on top of the final price which is quite expensive anything from about £8 to £10. If you phone up to bid you have to pay £1.50 per phone call or you can do it online for free. That being said you can still get some bargains from there if ... Read the complete review
