recently bought a rug from bid tv which included £10 being deposited into my account. decided to buy dd lydc ladies chunky bracelet watch @10pm 30th november over the phone as this is the only way you can use your credit (another rip off). call back duly came @ 11.45 pm same day. answered phone , said hello then the phone went dead. checked 1471, it was bid tv. waited up till1.00am for another phone call then went to bed. sunday 10.00am. bid tv on the phone asking if i still wanted the watch, to which i replied yes, but i want to use £10 credit in my account. idiot on other end of phone says oh im sorry but because you never answered your phone last night you cant use your money in your account to purchase to purchase this item. (another rip off). after much humming and harring told him to cancel the order, and i will be deleting my account. never to buy another thing from them. customer service stinks. BID TV. MORE LIKE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD TV.
I had a call from a bid tv agent stating that as I had not purchased from them recently they would give me a £5.00 credit as an incentive. When I attempted to use this credit they claimed they had no record of it. Consequently I cancelled the order and will not be shopping with them again.
Bid and Price Drop TV are a joke. Well, at least the presenters are especially Peter Simon is with his sub-Larry Grayson routine. He talks the most utter trash I have ever heard, everything he sells is "absolutely stunning" no matter how modest or crappy it may be and his fav phrase is "Not only" as he desperately seeks to convince how wonderful something is. OK, this can be amusing for a short while but when one buys an item and it doesn't turn up it becomes serious. You are sent to an indolent Indian call centre who are uncaring and unhelpful. Then again I've never known one that isn't. They charge £7.99 per item delivery but use the cheapest untracked service they can. Then when the item hasn't turned up after 7 days they claim they have to investigate and will send you a form to fill in. This doesn't arrive either. Their customer service matches the quality of most of their products - abysmal. I say most because to be fair I've bought quite a few items and some were good but be warned as soon as something goes wrong they don't want to know. They have no email contact, only a phone number. I have asked my credit card company to do a chargeback but - get this - even they have to send out a form before they can act. Is this really the 21st century?
Be warned these channels are over priced and a complete rip off how can a gold plated watch be an investment piece Garden Bargains now use these channels to sell their plants and shrubs same poor quality of plants and customer service even worse! My Mother bid an item last night around 9.30 pm, she waited up until 10.30pm for them to call her back, this call wasn't received until a wake up call at
1.15 am, from another country, she said "please call in the morning UK time", they called again at 1.30 am and again at 2.45 am..
My Mother is a nurse and needed to be up this morning a 4.30 am for a full days work.
Mother called customers services on 08448116611 to complain, they said that the item (a fire) was so popular, they had so much response they put it on again at 12 midnight.
So it looks like it must have taken them all night long to call all the early buyers up, my Mother being one of the first callers..
Also its cost you £1.53 just to call them once to make your bid. I have told Mother to never ever buy from this company again

Speed channel offered maroussia perfume for £24 .99 plus postage of 7.99 phone call costing £1.53 which equates to nearly £ 34 .oo. I bought this product ON amazon for £ 11. 29 plus £ 2.95 postage, what a rip off, look around before you buy hfrom these channels, factory shops sell exactly same products a lot cheaper.
Just bought two more of egg twin dehumidifiers because i bought two some time ago and pleased with the product. So last week they were on special offer so I ordered two. Received the box which found outside my front door, when opening them I noticed they were pink, meaning the humidifier strip showed pink hence meaning there were fully wet. So as with my other ones bought earlier i put one of them in the microwave for allotted 10 mins as usual to dry them out, but in this instance the rubber plastic at bottom melted and all the beads from insider went everywhere. And on one of the eggs there was only 1 humidifier strip of paper. I packed them away back in the box and went to post office, but to my surprise the postage was so expensive it was not ecomonical to send them back. Hence have got in my possession one egg to use. Will not use this bidding service again, once done never use it again.
Customer Service for Bid.TV, Price-Drop.TV and Speed-Auction.TV are fine until you need them when something goes missing, or goes wrong. Thats when you would think they would come into their own and help sort out your problems.
This is not the case with sit-up channnels. On several occassions in the past I had reason to complain re things being left in the open in the garden or not being rec`d and wrong item sent or broken etc.
I started using them again and lo and behold I Was recently sent a wrong item. This was returned the following day.
After a week and after receiving an email stating my refund for the said item would be repaid onto my credit card. As there was no mention of the refund for the postage charged I sent them an email asking for this to be added to my c.c. An email was then received from bid.tv asking me to fill in the return slip that came with the item purchased and return the said item to them
Their customer service clearly do not read emails properly or check ref number sent, otherwise they would have seen the aforementioned item had already been returned and a confirmation email sent back to me.
It looks like I am in for yet another marathon battle.
Whatever stock in trade these people have, charm is not one of them. They are disabliging and rude. I was silly enough to purchase an Internet Radio/tv usb dongle/ It cost me £1 to ring and order plus £7.99 p&p for a tiny item. I paid £49.95 for this item and later discovered that the identical item was available from Amazon with free p&p at a cost of £15.00. When I rang them to discuss this rip off with them, the phone was put down at their end. They are not interested in complaints of any kind. My best advice to anyone is not to go near these people. Amazon, Argos or any other discount organization is preferable. Be warned, these are not nice people.
Ordered a watch and wascsentba one of much lesser value contacted customer services and had phone put down on me twicecas I dared ton ask to speak to a manager was eventually promised a manager would call me however still waiting 8 days later Was told to return goodscand that not only would I receive a refund or goods but also for cost of phonecallscand postage however no refund recivedvsonhave had to enlist the help of credit card company to try and get refund Take mybadvice and shop elsewhere
I am very disappointed with Bid-TV. I purchased the electronic locators and transmitter two weeks ago. paying £6.99 for the goods and £7.99 for postage!! I felt that such high P & P was rather taking a liberty. When the goods arrived, I found they were faulty and I telephoned the Customer Service team. I was asked to return the goods by Recorded Delivery and advise the team of the number allocated to the Recorded Delivery service. I did so, after being assured that my postage costs would be reimbursed.
I have now received a notification on e-mail that I have been reimbursed only for the cost of the faulty goods -- £6.99. I am therefore out of pocket to the tune of the original P & P cost (£7.99) and the return postage (£2.41). It is ludicrous that the customer is expected to be responsible for P and P plus return postage costs when the goods are faulty.
Unless this matter is resolved, I will not shop again on the shopping channel - the risks of receiving faulty goods, makes the purchase non-viable - you will note that my post and packing costs were considerably more than the goods I purchased - how can this be an attractive purchasing medium.

Three years ago I was supposed to receive a Vacume Cleaner & found this Channel had NO interest in their Customers when things went astray. I was never going to trade with them again but I did & all was well until November, 2010. Some Mens clothing did not arrive so I emailed Customer Services, I also had to ring them which is a National Rate Phone Number, what Good Company would have one of those? I was told they must investigate & would send me a Lost Goods Form eventually, making me feel like a Criminal. They actually emailed one for me to print off on 19th December which I am unable to do. Also by this time I had NOT received another Item of Clothing. I emailed, I telephoned & was treated to a 25 minute long call I will have to pay for, where I was called "Maam" why couldn't I Print it off, No they will Not send 2 Forms only one which I will receive in 10 more days & I have to ring back tomorrow for another!! I said if the Goods arrived I obviously would not use the other Form but" No" I was again left feeling NOT like an appreciated Customer but a Criminal.Will not Buy again for SURE!
