Advantages: THere are some real bargains to be had if you are selective.

Disadvantages: There is also some rubbish available once you add on your costs.

Purchasing on all the Sit Up channels, can, if you are not careful, not get you the bargain that you originally thought you had got. These channels are all part of the Virgin empire, and Richard Branson is in business to make a profit not a loss. I have been using these channels since they first came on the air, and were at the time in competition with Auction World, who thankfully are no longer trading, having gone bust. It is necessary to watch the channels for a while before you buy, as some of the items they sell can be bought cheaper at the likes of Netto or Aldi. You will also observe that some of the items go for a song whilst other products are permitted to only go down to a certain price and remain at that same price on each and every auction. The items that are permitted to go for a song you will see why when you get them. The thing to never forget is to add on the cost of your telephone call £1.50 plus the cost of postage and packing, no less than £7.99 and then decide whether you have got a bargain. Especially if when you get your purchase and decide to send the article back for whatever reason (excepting because it doesn't work), and add that onto your purchase price also. Now how good is your bargain???
