Premium Review bid tv: Ebay TV (287 words)
by - written on 27/10/09 (Very useful, 53 readings)
Rating:

BIDTV is a shopping channel with a difference. I HATE shopping channels, but I can watch this one all day! The main concept is that items start cheap, i.e. 1p each, then viewers bid live through their phones which brings the price up and up. The channel became famous for the laid-back style of the presenters. There's a lot of banter and ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on bid tv
by lwaxanatroi - written on 17/10/09

I would suggest that if you see something you like get a figure in your head that you would be prepared to pay for it, take off the £8 for the posatge and then wait till the price gets near to that figure.(e.g. I'd pay £25 for a coat -£8 =£17 so wait for the price to hit £17) Their fragrances can be expensive if you look at prices on the high street although at the time they seem good value. Saying that everything I've ever got from them has been excellent quality and if I've had a problem (only 3 or 4 occasions) there's been no trouble getting a refund.

Bid TV is a TV channel on sky, free view that sells items by having falling price auctions. There is a wide range of items and they are sold in bulk the price starts high, usually far higher than they are worth. Then the price falls until they are all sold or the auction ends. The items and are sold by people that over excited over any old bit of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Have A Bid Of This (510 words)
by - written on 17/03/09 (Very useful, 128 readings)
Rating:

Bid TV really is a lovely channel to watch for some light entertainment and to occasionally buy from. They show falling price auctions of new products with every winning bidder paying the closing (lowest) price regardless of the price level at the time of their bid. The channel used to be called bid up TV and it used to have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review bid tv: BidTV - it's for me! (173 words)
by - written on 17/01/09 (Useful, 77 readings)
Rating:

Bid TV is a hoot to watch. There's something about the shopping TV presenter that's both desperate and endearing. There's a hysteria that's very attractive after 11pm. Bid works like many shopping channels - on the reverse auction strategy. The price drops until the entire quantity has gone. Bid have the added advantage of being able to ...  Read the complete review

Purchased a ring that was an absolute bargin! Waited two weeks, still hadn't received it so i contacted customer services only to be told it would be with me soon! A week later contacted them again and was told the package was damaged so the courier wouldn't deliver it, and it was returned to them and i was refunded the money! I asked why they couldn't re-deliver it and was told that it wouldn't be possible!! The item would have been delivered by royal mail and when i spoke to my postman he assured me that no such package had been with him!!!!

Purchasing on all the Sit Up channels, can, if you are not careful, not get you the bargain that you originally thought you had got. These channels are all part of the Virgin empire, and Richard Branson is in business to make a profit not a loss. Generally,I must say the sit-up channels are worth a look. I think the concept is brilliant, the chance of purchasing products at rediculous prices is addictive and exciting. After all we all love a bargain and you can find that bargain on the auction channels, but please be aware of the terms and conditions associated with your purchase. This is one of those home shopping auction sites which can be found in the dark depths of cable TV, the channel pretty much runs 24 hours a day and to be honest some of the stuff that it sells is a bit dire however I did get a rather good bargain on a set of luggage which was way below the price I would have paid on the high street. I find that bid tv and their sister channels 2 b the best out of all the shopping channels that r left, the only problem I find with them is the pp which changes according 2 what the product is. I have generally found bid tv and it's sister channel, price-drop tv to be efficient, and offer good quality products at reasonable prices. Don't overlook the hefty p&p and premium rate phone call when assessing you purchase though.
