Advantages: tv channels for free
Disadvantages: have to subscribe to broadband from BT.
Not too long ago I received a call from BT.
"As you have been a good customer we are offering you BT Vision free of charge."
"What is that I enquired?"
"It is a TV service Sir." said the salesperson.
She went on to explain that BT Vision comes via a box similar to Sky. It offers freeview channels. And on top of this there are BT Vision packages containing TV programmes which are stored on BT server, I could watch these any time of the day.
I could watch movies too like skybox. Movies cost between £1.99 to £3.50. Once subscribed to a movie I have it for 24 hrs watch as many times as I like.
So I did take up the offer.
Vision kit was sent to me via Home delivery Network.
In the kit you have a box, remote control and cables. Another box comes with pair of power adapters, these you connect your electricity supply, one connects to the box and one to the Home Hub.
Installation takes about half hour.
My vision box was ready to go on the same day.
Freeview channels I can record. Upto 80 hours.
BT Vision has a large library containing documentaries, latest TV series. To these I have access any time. I am enjoying BT Vision so much that I was compelled to write this review.
So far no problems and I am satisfied with what is on offer.
BT vision requires BT Broadband.
Summary: Good service and it don't cost a penny.

- 13/10/08 I think TV should be kept off the internet. It just slows the net down. |
