Advantages: it's free only pay for what you watch

Disadvantages: you need to have broadband to have it

We were given this as a trial as my partner works for BT. I am now thinking about giving up my Sky for this instead.

You need to have broadband as it has On Demand which is programmes on it that come to your tv via your broadband line. This includes films, music videos, tv programmes you may have missed (Desperate Housewives, or uglyy Betty). It does cost money but you have the choice of paying a monthly subscription and there is 3 packages to choose from or you can just pay for what you watch, each video or programme cost 99p each, films are a bit more expensive at £1.99.

It is basically just freeview but with the ability to record like sky plus. You can record 2 channels at the same time but cannot watch a third channel whilst these are recording but can watch something on demand when they are recording. Because I am used to the sky plus box it has taken me a bit more time to get used to the menus and things but are actually really easy to use.

You don't need a satellite dish only an aerial as it is only freeview with the only extra being the on demand option. I have never had any problems with the box. We did have some billing problems but they were sorted fairly quickly once we spoke to the billing team.

Summary: Love the fact it's free and you only pay for on demand

Hmmm, it sounds good! I've seen the adverts but I think I will stay with Freeview! Nice review though x
