Advantages: educational and entertainment for tots

Disadvantages: can be overused

Cbeebies first aired when my son was a baby and we did tend to watch it then main programs five years ago where bob the builder, fimbles, teletubbies and the tweenies.
My son loved cbeebies but now aged 7 has out grown it.
My daughter however is only just getting into it at the age of 23 months but now there is so many more programs to chose from.
This morning she watched carrie andprograms david's popshop which is about music and singing which my daughter loved a started to jump around and dance too which is fine if it werent 7 o'clock in the morning.
Most programs are educational in a fun way. The favourites in our house are the tweenies and In the night garden.
I think teletubbies has had it's time as most parents I know turn it off when they come on.
The problem with cbeebies is it repeats it self. Programs shown in the morning are on again in the afternoon and as only have on it for about 30 - 40 mins in the morning before playgroup and then again before school pick up times it the same program she watched this morning although she doesn't mind It drives me crazy.
I think cbeebies is great and I tend to use it as a babysitter while i'm getting dressed in the morning but as we keep it as a treat it works that way.

Summary: great in small doses.
