Advantages: Good for childrens learning skills

Disadvantages: possibily too much tv not good

I use to only be able to get cbeebies on my tv before I got sky,as a freeviewer.
Since My two sons were born Cbeebies has been a godsend and although they do seem to repeat the programmes a few times through out the day my boys always want to watch and are always greatly entertained by it.

My youngest son has always been a big fan of Post man pat so loves watching him when his on.(his now 4)
Whilst my eldest (now 5) could never make up his mind who his favourite were from teletubbies, Mister maker or the Tweenies.

Big Cook Little cook I found was very good for my children to watch as it showed them that before they play they have to ''clean and put away'' this encouraged them to clean their toys away more so I didnt always have to.
It also showed me some good easy recipes that I could make for them.
Once they showed how to make a Train Cake made from swiss rolls it was very easy to make and as my son was a huge fan of Thomas the Tank engine it came in very handy for his birthday and was a cheaper option rather then paying out for a shop made one.

Something Special. This I also found Fantastic for my children to watch as it often taught sign language and I think it really helps younger children learn more as this is one of the only childrens programmes I know that teach sign language, Its not done fast so once children get to a certain age its easy for them to watch and do the sign language too as it may always come in helpfull to them one day.

These are only a few of the shows on cbeebies there are many more and They are all just as entertaining for children to learn new and exciting things everyday rather then just sit and watch something thats not going to benefit them in any way at all.

Im not one for just letting my children sit and watch tv all day as I know this is not helpfull to them in any way but I do find cbeebies will help them with their learning.

Summary: has helped me with a few cookery skills.
