Advantages: Brilliant for the little ones

Disadvantages: Very repetative

We have had CBeebies on in our house for what seems like a lifetime. Our nine year old watched it when he was younger and now our two year old loves it just as much - we hate it!!

I must admit, with the large variety of cartoon and entertainment activities that are on this channel there is plenty to keep the little ones happy for hours on end.

There are quite a few of the programs, where the channels presenters are some of the characters in these shows. This can get a bit much some times.

Another problem with the channel is that although there is great variety - whatever shows are on that day are repeated over and over that day on what seems like an hourly turn-over.

The channel is on from 6.00 a.m. - 7.00p.m. and is available on the freeview service.

The last hour of the channel is dedicated to bedtime and is more stories and quieter programmes rather than load and wild.

The programmes are quite different from each other in that they have educational, simple cartoons, science activities and then a favourite from Scotland - Balamory.

It is a good channel for the kids and if you haven't tried it it's worth letting them watching for a bit - once children have had this channel on it does seem difficult to tear them away.

Summary: entertainment for kids or torture for adults
