Advantages: Variety and Entertainment

If there is a TV channel perfectly suited to little ones - CBeebies is it! Considering it is available on freeview, the variety and quality of programmed is second to none. Since my eldest boy was 6 months old, this channel has become a permanent fixture on our television. Now we have two kids (aged 2 and 1), sometimes its the only thing that keeps us sane. They both sit and watch quietly for up to an hour! the presenters are great - although it has gone downhill lately with the departure of Chris and Pui. Justin / Mr Tumble of Something Special and Tikkabilla is one of the best childrens presenters and entertainers I have seen. With shows such as the Green Balloon Club, which teaches kids about environmental issues, it is as much educational as pure fun (without the kids knowing!). The standards such as Postman Pat, Pingu, and the good old-fashioned bedtime story keep the adults entertained aswell as the little ones!!

Summary: Overall an excellent channel for little ones
