Advantages: Love the goodnight song

Disadvantages: Repeats A LOT!!!

Cbeebies is a channel dedicated to childrens television only.Mainly prescoolers,but slightly older ones will enjoy it.
Cbeebies is a big move from the boring educational programs of old.It is available on freeview ,Virgin media and satellite.

Sky/digital satellite - channel 614
Freeview - channel 71
Virgin Media - channel 702

It finishes at 7pm with the bedtime hour being the best part for me.It is a countdown in my house for bedtime.Oh heaven!!!
It also stops nonsense in our house.There is a song at the end that goes.

"The time has come to say goodnight
To say sleep tight til the morning light.
Oh the time has said to stay goodnight
It's the end of a lovely day
We've have so much fun today
Tomorrow's just a dream away
And now it's time to say goodnight
At the end of a lovely day
Goodnight! "

That is my favourite most annoying song ever,lol.But fair play ,my kids know the tune and know it is pointless arguing about bedtime.
We all know children though and I dont think I will be getting away with this much longer.

I do have my problems with this channel though,but they are because of my personal tastes and values.I dont whitewash my children ,and although I do not want to give my children the impression that all people walk around like they are on crack.I dont like the fact that the presenters are overly fake,as I seriously think children see through facades such as that anyway.

My second gripe is that they put Cbeebies on a loop.So in our house It just goes on in a loop.I can walk back in the room and I swear its playing the same program.After 3 children ,I know most of the words to every program.

My favourite has to be Mamma Miribelle.A talking elephant who teaches the younger animals(and our children) about different things and places in the world.And even though he drives me mad.Mr Tumble.I cant stand him but he does engage the children and he teaches them the simplest form of sign language Makaton.

Makaton is a simpler form of british sign language and was formulated in the 1970's.

There are very educational programs on cbeebies.Its just a bit mind numbing for adults,as you would expect.
Thankfully my time of Cbeebies is coming to an end as My 4 year old startedd full time school,I will not put the tv on all day for my 3 year old.Who may I add at 2 years old picked up some of the Makaton when she refused to speak.

Its trustworthy,and safe for our children.But it will drive you bonkers.
