If you have Sky then like me you would have found your children hooked on the excellent range of cartoon channels that digital has to offer. Cbeebies is an excellent addition to the Sky package, it?s free so even if you do not pay for package you should be able to receive the channel. It starts from 6am and lasts to 7am when they have story time, perfect time to put the children to bed.

As a parent I am well aware of the fact that hours in front of the TV can be damaging. So, don?t worry my daughter isn?t in front of the TV 24/7. But, the advantage this channel offers is that all day long the selection is excellent. So when I have some work to do at 1pm there?s something to occupy her. The other brilliant thing is that the programmes are very educational so children sub consciously learn as they watch. Let me give you an example, Story Maker is a fantastic show where they make animals, objects from shapes. It?s educational because it focuses on colours, and shapes. So after while children can sub consciously pick them up.

I love the theme songs to every show, they are so well orchestrated. From Clifford the Big Red Dog, to Bit and Bobs to Tweenies. Children love a good sing a long and it?s amazing how much they pick up. My three year old can sing along to most of the programmes now.
Even the presenters are excellent, they are vibrant, fun and cheerful. They have the energy to sing along to songs first thing in the morning. They really interact with children which is a delight to see.

The range of programmes are good, mostly for 2-6 years old. The programmes include favourites like:
Teletubbies, Tweenies, Story-makers, Clifford the Big Red Show, Bob the Builder, Brum, The Shiny Show, Playdays, Bits and Bobs and Brum.
Most of the programmes do come on BBC 1 but a few don?t. The good thing is that they come on at a set time which is advantageous because children like to have set times.

The TV Channel has an exce
llent website which you can visit at:
www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies.
It has song time, play time, happy time. It?s an excellent website, packed with lots of fun things to do. It has a huge variety of songs from A-Z with the lyrics so children can sing along. The site is fast and is worth a visit because it?s an excellent site that will get children interested.

This is an excellent TV channel, well presented and contains hours of entertainment for small children. It?s definitely a quality channel especially if you have small children. You can watch the channel on 622 on Sky digital.
