Advantages: Crystal Maze...yay! Krypton Factor....woohoo!Supermar ket Sweep....wow!

Disadvantages: Tasheki's castle...what is that?????

Do you remember quiz shows back in the day, when you could sit down to a bit of Supermarket Sweep with Dale Winton or maybe a bit of flight simulation on Krypton Factor, well thats just what you get on Challenge TV, its like been in a time warp...with 90's fashion.

My favourite programme has to be the legendy Crystal Maze with Richard O'Brian. Four Zones, lots of crystals and various contestants in coloured jumpsuits. Then, they all jump in a huge crystal shaped dome and run around after gold tin foil...now that is what I call televison entertainment.

Then we have Supermarket Sweep with the ever orange Mr Winton. The most amusing part of the show has to be the contestants, who tend to end every sentence with Dale. "Whats your inflatable bonus worth?" "£100 Dale!". You really have to get excited about the inflatable bonuses, in various shapes from jukeboxes to cakes. But for me this show really does show a childhood dream of myn, running around a supermarket and chucking anything in your trolley, Bliss.

On the other hand, we have The Eggheads a rather annoying BBC creation with a selection of big heads from various other quiz shows, who take on a group of nobodies. Obviously the eggheads always win and therefore the whole show seems a bit pointless....but I did learn that Mensa actually means table...interesting.

And at the very bottom of the pile, is Takeishi's castle...which is a chinese version of its a knockout. With an english commentator, who really does not know which day of the week it is let alone what is going on in the game. To sum up this show in one word...MAD!

Overall, Challenge Tv is a fun trip through a time warp but avoid those shows that you have never heard of before turning on the channel...they are usually just plain bad. But enjoy the rather insane hairstyles and outfits too..very retro. Go on tune in...you know you want to.

Summary: Not a challenge to watch!
