Advantages: Variety, catch up service on both tv and online

Disadvantages: Not always something on that will definately interest you

Out of all the television channels, channel 4 is certainly my favourite!

Channel 4 offers a huge variety of television programmes for all ages. Though I don't always like what is currently on, there are several programmes on a day that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually have a a line up for my evening as to what I'm going to watch and almost all programmes that are on that list are on channel 4.

I enjoy the comedy cartoon The Simpsons at 6pm, which is then followed by Hollyoaks at half past six. These are on every weekday and I enjoy both of them. From 8pm onwards it gets better. There tends to be some form of reality programme on at about 8 such as 10 Years Younger, Location Location or Gok Wan. I tend to watch one of these. Monday nights at 9 are usually some form of documentary. I notice that recently it has been to do with the monarchy and government. On the other nights there are different programmes, Big Brother takes it place at this time or 10pm when it runs. Recently on Tuesdays I have been tuning into Boys and Girls alone, a real life documentary and experiment to see how children can cope living in a world with no adults. A bit like Lord of the Flies! I usually enjoy the 10pm programmes, though there isn't always something interesting on. Currently Shameless runs at 10pm on a Tuesday, and The ____ and Me on Wednesday, which has shown some very interesting people, including child prodogies and women with insane implants! On Sundays channel 4 also usually shows a film at 8pm or 9pm such as the Devil Wears Prada, Mission Impossible 3 and My Super Ex-Girlfriend.

Channel 4's sister channels such as E4 and 4 Music are equally as fantastic! and 4+1 means you can easlily catch up with programmes you've been an hour earlier. Channel 4 also offers a catch up service online called 4OD where you can also pay a small fee to rent films that they've previously aired.

I highly rate channel 4!

Summary: I highly rate channel 4 and think it's the best channel aviable
