Advantages: some good shows,

Disadvantages: not got 100% coverage in UK, can't compete with others

This channel was launched in 1997, it's the 5th terrestrial channel in the UK. This is the only terrestrial channel that doesn't get coverage in the whole of the UK and is unavailable on cable.

The shows that are on the channel include Australian soaps neighbours (since 2008) and Home and Away, CSI, House Doctor, Zoo Days, The Trisha Goddard Show, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, House, Fifth Gear and The Gadget Show among some others.

Neighbours - This was a new addition to the channel early this year, which used to be on BBC 1. The Australian soap is very popular which could help Five's TV ratings and statistics because it could attract more viewers.

Home and Away - This is the other Australian soap which is also on Five.

The Trisha Goddard Show - This show used to be on ITV when the show was called Trisha.

CSI - CSI is a Canadian tv series that is about a Forensic Scientists team.

There are some good shows on here but they can't compete with BBC, ITV or Channel 4 because they don't have 100% coverage in the UK like the others which means less viewers.
