Five is a TV channel that is the fifth terrestrial analogue TV channel. It was launched in 1997 we did not get this channel till we had sky installed as like many people our TV Ariel could not pick up channel five.

As well as being the fifth and final analogue channel it was the only analogue channel to have its logo on the screen at all times, though this was removed in 2002 to return to are screen in 2007. For me the logo does not both me and I get use to it and don't see it, but for my husband he hates these on the screen as he always says they cover what he wants to see.

So what's on channel 5
Well I had to look in to this a bit as I don't remember the last time I watched a program on channel 5

In the mornings it has children's show like peppa pig, Thomas and friends and noody in toyland. My children like these shows but we just don't watch them on 5 as they all on children's channels on sky

In the day there are shows like the Wright stuff (this is a talk show but I really cant stand the presenter), news and house doctor which is a DIY show.

In the evening there are the soaps Neighbours and Home and Away I use to love these show when on BBC and ITV but since moving to 5 I believe they have really gone down hill.
They also seem to have a lot of law shows on like CSI and Law and Order

With so many sky channels I just don't feel there is any thing I want to watch on 5 maybe it would be different if I only had 5 channels as I would have more of a limited choice but for me now if I didn't have channel 5 it would make no difference to me.
