Advantages: Ocational Good Film
Disadvantages: Bad Picture, Too Many Adverts, It is Really Bad
Well is it, I don’t know it could be. The point I am trying to make is that nobody watches channel 5 anymore, I don’t think I have watched a program on channel 5 in about 4 years and even then I only watched because I was at a sleepover with teenaged boys who were high on caffeine I will leave what we watched up to your imagination. I remember the day well it was a hot summer day and I had only had one glass of water and a jam sandwich for lunch (have a good memory) quite a small lunch you would say especially for a growing lad like me. The reason why the channel 5 man was coming today and I found I was so excited I could not find the energy to eat. Then at about six o’clock a white Ford van with a big 5 in the channel 5 colors on the side, license plate B96 MWD (again good memory) entered our street. Soon afterwards the door bell rang I rushed over to it open it and saw……mum with the weekly shopping, but then it rang again I opened it again and a big man called Steve from channel five was standing there. I sat there next to him while he worked. Later that evening I check the radio times as to what is on channel 5 and saw the selection of: 7.00-9.00 Welcome to channel 5 9.00- 11.00 American Football live 11.00-1.00 Nuns and their Crucifixes I can’t not rember any more. Slightly disappointed I went to bed hopping for a better day tomorrow. But it was not, infact the channel 5 line-up was basically the same except for a few changes. Right so apart form the programs what else is bad about channel 5 I will tell you in one simple word the picture (the doesn’t count as a word don’t as why it just doesn’t). Before you say into I did not have a bad aerial all the other channels were fine except 5. We would have a solid red line that sometimes if we were lucky changed to green, on rare occasions the screen would fuzz and if we had been really good and hard working the screen would tu
rn completely black and all we would hear if the a buzzzzzzzzzz. I soon found that the days of bragging about being the first in the street to get channel 5 and only living ½ a mile away from the headcounters long gone. The criticism I have about channel 5 is adverts, I understand you have to make money somehow considering you get none from your viewing figures but do they have to last 5 minutes and occur every 10, this is especially annoying during a film as you are just about to find out exactly who killed J.F.K when ‘would you like cheaper car insurance’ hits your screen. But all is not bad with the big 5 it does have the odd footy game or good film from time to time such as Silence of the Lams, but I would much rather stick with the good old BCC1, BCC2, ITV and Channel 4. Channel 5 do us a favor get lost.
