I remember the first time when I got cable TV. I was clicking through all the channels and came across the Discovery Channel. I thought hmm this doesn?t seem too interesting; it?s all about animals and other countries that I have never heard of or been too. So of course I just kept clicking away, I think I might have been around 22 years old at the time. Well I?m now 33 years old, and my whole view of the Discovery Channel has changed. I guess I need to grow up a little and realize the importance of this channel. I have found myself the last few months watching the Discovery Channel more often then other channels I use to watch. I have come to learn more and more about all the different animals that we have all across the world. I have learned about the way animals have become extinct. I have even become addicted to Tuesday nights, because that night is the FBI files, and the New Detective stories. I?m really interested in those types of things. I watched a few show?s last month that were specials on the Discovery Channel one of them was called ?The true story of Jesus?, and the other was ?The real Eve?. I wanted to see how close this show was really to what the Bible says. It was also broadcasted or directed from the BBC as well. I have to say I was skeptical, but I thought they done a fantastic job with those movies. They had both views from Non Christian Scientist, and Christian Theologizes. I have to say that I have been told to really pay close attention to some of the shows that are being broadcasted on this channel because they do go against our Christian belief. Like example they have shows that say we are all related to the Ape family and that we evolved, and that God didn?t create Adam and Eve. I just don?t watch those types of shows when they are aired. I have seen a show about two chimps that were being taught how to communicate by recognizing letters and then putting them into words like cat, dog, banana, keys and et
c. I felt this show was rather entertaining. It was cool to see how chimps can be so smart if they are just taught. I still don?t believe though that we are from the Chimp or Ape family. I get a laugh out of that one. I enjoy the shows that deal with lions and tigers, and snakes. It is really neat to find out what they like to hunt, how the live, and how they survive. I also like the shows that deal with the deadliest snakes or spiders in the world. I learned a lot from those shows. I found out that the fire ant could really kill someone if he/she was bitten from it. I learned about different types of spiders and how to recognize them and what to do if you were bitten by one of them. The Discovery Channel has a lot of shows to offer a person. Even if you are not interested in one program you might be interested in another. It?s a channel that is very educational, but yet you still have to use your own mind in determining if you really believe in some of the things that they say. They most believe in Evolution instead of Creation. So if you are looking to learn more about animals, countries, people, places, just about anything then I would suggest you tune your TV into the Discovery Channel I don?t know what the number will be for that channel in your country or state, but check with your local cable company and they will surely have it for you.

- 22/05/02 You appear to be quite a good writer. However you have posted too mnay ops and that is the reason why you are getting very few reads and in many case no reads whatsoever on some of them. The number of reads that you have achieved in some many ops could have been generated with just two opinions posted several hours of each other. If you follow this you will certainly be more successful on Dooyoo and don't forget to keep on having a look at other members opinions and ones that interest you - Vinod |
