Discovery Channel for me is one of the best channels on the TV. It covers a wide variety of subject to WW2 to the Animal Kingdom and also Archeology and general history and biographies. This gives the viewer an infomrative view of the world, and is presented in a fashion, which is interesting and not labourious.
Historical events always ask questions rather than lecture. The Animal programmes are fascinating in content and also by the way that they are filmed. There is also programmes which deal with old Roman sites and attempts to recontruct events.
By and large very educational without being too heavy.

Summary:
