Discovery Wings ... replaced by the Military Channel, which still has a large portion of its programming dedicated to military aviation. In the UK, Discovery Wings was axed in favor of a new channel called Discovery Turbo, on March 1, 2007. The new channel shows programs related to speed and all things motored, but aviation documentaries are still aired.

DISCOVERY Discovery means knowing something new for the 1st.time Did you think Colombus landing on America was a discovery No Colombus coming back to SPAIN and telling the King And the Queen and the assembly about his findings became The Discovery. This Channel is not making any discoveries, it is making an effort to bring to the maximum number of folks some new Things not only discovered and established but a through Documentary film was made about it. I have a son who is now at an age where if it has an engine, he is into it. If the drone of Cbeebies has left him drained and slumped on the sofa like a mini Bhudha then the Discovery Wings channel is the next to watch. Yes, they do show repeats but if you have a small child with the memory span of a damp sponge, then they are programmes they can watch again and again. I only started watching when I heard of Bruce 'Can I play with Madness' Dickinson having a show about his passions for heavy metal of the flying kind. I sit at the PC as I write this, but I have the TV on too. After a few months I have managed to master the art of watching TV and using the PC at the same time. The problem is that when the house was renovated the old living room was meant to become more of a study area, where the PC would go, and the newly created room would be the living room. The problem is that the new room is cold, and people can't decide to watch the same channel, so both rooms have turned in to TV rooms and me and my computer end up stuck in the same room as a TV, usually being watched by my dad.
