Advantages: very educational, and lots of fun

Playhouse Disney is part of the Disney channel family, but is aimed at younger viewers. This channel is on constantly in my house as my youngest son totally loves it and the saddest part is i know all the words to all the songs. All the programmes are full of fun and bright colours and are very educational to. So time to get to the programmes.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Mickey and his friends go around helping others and solving problems with the help of toodles, a mickey mouse shape head computer. The children can interact with this programme by answering questions and helping to work things out.

Handy Manny
Handy Manny is an all rounder handy man. He always helps everyone out and no job is too big or small. He has the help of his talking tools who are Dusty the saw, Felipe the screwdriver, Pat the hammer, Rusty the wrench, Squeeze, a pair of pliers, stretch the tape measure and Turner another screwdriver.There is lots of singing and dancing and plenty of other characters to meet.Spanish is used throughout the programme along with the meanings in english.

My Friends Tigger and Pooh
Winnie the Pooh and Tigger star in this brightly, updated programme, along with old friends such as Piglet, Eeyore and Rabbit. They are also joined by new friends Darby and Buster the dog, these replace Poohs old friend Christopher Robin although he does make a few appearances in the show. Pooh, Tigger, Darby and Buster all make up the Super Sleuths they are there to help everytime somebody is in trouble or have problems to solve.

Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs
As the title says Harry has A bucket full of dinosaurs. Whenever they want to go on an adventure, Harry jumps into his bucket after his dinosaurs and they all go off to dino world. Here they have lots of fun exploring dino world and doing lots of things to help other dinosaurs and creatures who live there.

Johnny and the Sprites
Johnny moved to a house in the woods for peace and tranquility. Hes a musician so he was looking forward to working on his music and writing new songs with no disturbances. He soon discovers that in his garden there is a whole new world for him to discover. He makes friends with the sprites and fuzzies who live in grotto grove, a hidden place in the garden. It all leads on to lots of fun singing and dancing.

Little Einsteins
June, Quincy, Annie and Leo are a group of friends who go off on missions together, flying around in Rocket. They incorporate music and art in each programme.They fly around in Rocket solving problems and piecing mysteries together.

Frannys Feet
Franny is a little girl who helps her grandad in his shop fixing shoes. She has a very vivid imagination. She helps her grandad by taking the broken shoes to the fix it box but before she puts them in the box she trys them on. She is then taken to wherever the shoes would fit in, for example if she tried on flip flops she would end up at the beach and if she had hiking boots on she would be on a mountain. She then help solve arguments and always tries to find a solution to peoples problems. She then goes back off home and discovers some kind of treasure inside the shoes she has on as a reminder of where she has been.

There are other shows on this channel but these are the main ones that we watch, other programmes include-
Stanley, Bear in the Big Blue House, Animal Mechanicals, doodlebops, Bunny town, My Friend Rabbit and Imagination Movers.

Playhouse Disney is on channel 611 on sky and starts at 6.00am it runs right through until midnight. There is Playhouse Disney + on sky channel 612 and this starts 25 minutes later and runs 25 minutes throughout the day.

Summary: an excellent channel for all young viewers
