Best variety Kids channel (Disney Channel)

Advantages: It's DIsney

Disadvantages: Could be a bit more up to date!

Without a doubt, there are lots more quality kids programmes on here than any of the other kids channells, I am using the surfing observations of my four year old daughter to write this oppinion and when she has her cartoon time, she flicks back ad forth through, fox kids,nikelodeon,cartoon network and the disney channell!

And the longest time spent on one channell is always the Disney Channel!, I do actually like most of the programmes/cartoons on it too, they are pleasent, bright and colourfull, and have nice songs, (one of my favourites is the noodle dance from PB&J otter) and of course it goes without saying all the favourite (and alot of new soon to be favourites too) disney characters from the films, which I think is a main attraction for kids.

Also there is the part of the channell for the younger kids and this is my daughters favourite part!, Playhouse Disney, Hosted by Big Dave and Little Alex, who show kids art, and tell us that postage is free to send things in and guide us musically and happily around the playhouse with art, singing and dancing.And inbetween all this are the younger kids favourites (and mine too!!!) to name but a few, theres Rolly Polly Olie, The Bear In The Big Blue House, Winnie The Pooh, Spot the dog, and loads more great fun for the younger end (and me!) and to add a bit on my daughter did send in a picture to the freepost address, and a few days later they very kindly sent her back a postcard with the hosts on and a large print kiddy style letter with her name on saying that they loved her art and to watch out for it on the washing line (which is where art is displayed!), she was over the moon, and I thought that was really nice of them.

To end the Playhouse section, if you have digital then playhouse disney now has it's own channell, so it's always on, which is great but watch out for repeats!!!


Going back to the main channell, I have already mentioned the cartoons with the popular c
haracters,so on to the films they show, now they do show classic films like "bedknobs and broomsticks" etc... but they don't really do any exclusive films that I am aware of which (and it may just be me) I would really have expected to see eiter sneak peeks of new films or putting the new films on at the same time as video ir just shortly after, what I mean really is that it's more based at running the Disney classic films than showing us (even small parts) of the new ones!,


However I do still love this channell and it's sister playhouse disney, apart from one thing, they play Home Improvement and I don't like Tim Allen (Lol) but other than that thumbs up from me and my daughter.
