I have chosen this category to write this opinion in as there is no sub-category for the programme I want to rate. The show is called Home Improvements, and is shown on the Disney Channel at 10pm every night. This has got to be one of the funniest shows around. The star of the show is Tim Allen (the santa clause, buzz lightyear) He plays Tim 'the tool-man' Taylor, star of an american cable DIY show. Tim can be relied on to screw things up, blow up electrics, flood plumbing and generally cause mayhem everywhere he goes. He believes that you can never have too much power (in the sence of cars, tools etc) and seems to think more of his hot-rod than his long-suffering wife Jill. Tim hosts Tool Time with his assistant Al Borelan. Al is the real DIY expert, but Tim is forever putting him down. Tim & Jill have four sons, Brad, Randy & Mark. I have cried with laughter watching Tim deal with their teenage crisis. They have a next door neighbour Wilson. You are never allowed to see his whole face. Not sure why it's done, but I certainly get a few laughs out of the new ways invented to obscure Wilson's face. Wilson is the wisdom of the show. Everyone goes to him with their problems and he can always be relied on for a well quoted piece of advice. It is hilarious watching Tim listen intently to the advice, then go home and totally screw up what he's been told. I watch the double episode everynight. I have yet to get bored with it. Anyone who has access to the Disney Channel and hasn't seen Home Improvements, give it a try. Hopefully you'll find it as funny as I do.

- 18/06/01 I Love Wilson! Try e mailing Amit, the category manager for TV, he'll set up a new category for Home Improvements, but probably not one for Tool Time. |
