My favourite channel at the moment. (E4)

Advantages: Great shows and they are repeated

Channel four launched their new digital channel E4 about two months ago now and it has been a success so far. Channel 4 decided to invest heavily in the channel and bought many of the top American programmes so that it could gain viewing figures straightaway.

I am a huge fan of the American series Friends and I was shocked to hear that SKy had lost the rights to show the new series. However it was pretty good news to hear that E4 was going to be a free channel for subscribers to sky digital. The new Friends series is shown three or four times a week which is a vast improvement over Sky one which only showed it once a week.

E4 also has ER, Ally McBeal, Trigger Happy Tv and Bonzai. The last two shows that I mentioned are very funny and are definetely worth watching. Bonzai has proved so popular that it is going to be shown on Channel 4 soon.

At the moment the picture when watching E4 can be a little blocky and that is because Channel 4 are trying to fit too many channels on the small bandwith that they have. Sometimes when watching Friends you can see that the picture is not as clear as it should be. If I had another complaint about E4 it would be the fact that no movies are shown.

Overall E4 has to be my favourite channel at the moment. It has some great shows and they are repeated a few times during the week so that if you missed it once you get the chance to watch it again. If you havent had the chance to watch E4 so far the I would start now. You don't know what you are missing!
