Advantages: Good BB coverage, A few new programmes notseen before

Disadvantages: Could do with more selection of programs, Lots of repeats

I first started watching E4 shortly after it was first introduced, this was around the time Big Brother started and like many other people I only actually watched E4 because of the live 18 hours a day BB coverage daily. Apart from Big Brother live and big brothers little brother there was little else worth watching on this channel.

Since Big Brother finished E4 has started screening a whole host of new programmes which include Freinds, ER, Ally Macbeal, Hollyoaks, Sex and the City, Eurotrash, basically everyprogramme that has been screened on channel 4 will be repeated on E4 at some point.

E4 have also introduced a new section called T4 (t=teen) which is aimed at teens and shows programmes such as The Priory, The Priory Clinic, Popworld, Five Go Dating, Hollyoaks and Star Trek.

Apart from the programmes that have already appeared on channel 4, E4 has also started a few new shows, these shows include Jackass, Chained and Shipwrecked.

Jackass is a programme from the American MTV, its basically a guy that goes round the streets with a hidden camera doing stupid things to members of the public, a little bit like Trigger Happy TV but as its American its a little bitmore extreme and not even slightly as funny.

Chained is a new game show which is based a little on Big Brother. (hosted by Mel out of the first Big Brother) Its just 4 women and one man put in a house, the guy gets five thousand pounds to buy what he wants and they are all chained together. Each day over a period of one week one of the girls has to leave, until the man is left with his 'ideal date'. Its usually on after 11pm so you can imagine the kind of thing the contestants get up too!

Shipwrecked is basically just survivor without the million pound prize money and the contestants are from different countries. (not really watched it)

Overall I would say that E4 is definately an up and coming channel and if it tried to drop some of
the repeats and get some new programmesand maybe a wider selection then it would be great!

I'm guessing you didn't copy this opinion, if you had it would have been factually correct. E4 didn't start with Big Brother, it started in January. Yes they are showing repeats of programmes which have been shown on Channel 4. BUT Friends, ER, Ally McBeal etc were first shown on E4 (Starting back in January) were then repeated on C4 and are now back on E4 for a second showing. That new concept teen session, again nothing new was there from the launch. Big Brother was indeed shown on E4, this was where you could watch people asleep at least you got one thing right.
