Advantages: Good programmes for kids and those that like Japanese cartoons, short adverts

Disadvantages: Selective chose of programmes might not suit everyone, on digital only

I admit it: I am a real Fox Kids Fan!! Sad to hear, I know in some one older than about 10, but before you dish it, let me tell you all the great stuff that is shown.

First off, Digimon, Sailor Moon, Monster Rancher and Flint the Time Detective are shown daily. These are rarely shown on the other channels regularly (i.e. more than once or twice a week) and are among some of my favourite cartoons. Being on everyday, you can watch the whole of a series in the month, but in many cases, it beats having to wait and wait and wait and wait to see what happens at the end of series. Similarly, X-men is also aired for those older afficiandos of the series. The second great thing about the channel is that adverts are blessedly short. Admittedly, it is probably because the cartoons are fill half hourly rather than hourly slots, but it sure is a change to go from repeated 5 minute ads to a single 1 minute one.

On the down side, once you have watched all the series (and know them off by heart), it is a little hard to find out when new series are going to be aired. Worse yet, Fox has been taken off many of the analogue channels and remains decidedly digital. So those without Sky Digital are a bit at sea. Lastly, if you don't like some of the programs e.g. power rangers there is no help for it as they are placed in the middle of the rest of the good shows. Don't expect to find Tom and Jerry, the Flintstones or even the Jetsons on this channel though!!!

So in summary, great channel for the kids and the ... erm. .. grown up kids/afficiandos. Not so great for those that don't like the genre.
