Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Rubbish
Freeview in my opinion is rubbish, total rubbish.
And how can it be freeview? I still have a buy a TV Licence!
A while back I purchased a good Freeview set-top box, it was set up by a TV Engineer friend of mine.
At first everything was not too bad. But some channels kept going off and reporting a "no signal". My friend said it had nothing to with the set-top box or my Aerial, the problems lies with Freeview themselves.
I do live in a Postcode area that does receive Freeview channels, but it seems not all of them, or least Intermittently.
It is very upsetting whilst watching one of the Freeview channels and suddenly it just goes off with another "no signal" onscreen message.
To say that the rush into digital TV has been done without any forethought is a gross understatement.
At least Analogue TV worked and gave no problems unlike this not-Freeview.
I honestly wish I had never bought the set-top box.
And for those who say: get SKY or Cable.
Not everyone can afford SKY or Cable`s monthly charges.....
Freeview? more like Noview.
Summary: Needs more work
