Great with many channels but check area signal first (Freeview)

Advantages: many channels

Disadvantages: some areas don't get good signal and may need new aerial

Freeview is great if you can get it, i highly recommend you check the signal in your area before you get a set top box and check that your tv aerial is strong enough. We had to have an amplifier and a new aerial. I like freeview, we get many more channels, many more programmes and it's free which is the best thing. We have had a few problems with the signal but it does work most of the time. We bought my parents and grandparents one and they both use them despite saying they wouldn't watch any more than the terrestrial channels they watch already. My friends with young children have freeview and they like to watch cbeebies and cbbc but it's also good for adults too as there are lots of different channels. For teenagers there's E4 and More4 for those who like films there's film4. I think there's something for everyone, just check your area signal and aerial before you get one. But remember you don't have to subscribe so it's a one off small payment which is worth it as you get many channels.
