Premium Review Great! (240 words)

Rating:

I have ntl cable (not digital) and I have the 5 front row channels free with my package. I say 5 because there are 4 channels which show the movies, and 1 thathas previews of the movies and future movies. When you want to see a film on front row (with ntl) all you have to do is tune to the revelevent channel (this information can be found in most TV magazines and the preview channel). You have to tune to the channel before the film starts and enter your pin number. When this is done you are allowed to watch the film and the fee (£2.99) is added to your bill at the end of the month. The main negative about the service is the range of films. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Front Row: Popcorn, Tissues, OH Poo! wheres the remote gone?!? (409 words)

When i first received Cable we had the centre package. After about 2 years all of the channels began to change. This is when Front Row appeared in my very own living room. When it was first available it was brilliant, between films it had a list of all the movies you could watch, as well as the channel number and all of the times. This was fantastic. It had all of the films that were new and quite a lot of good horror films. And for only £2.99!! Which really was a bargain - since you can record them and watch them all over again. I think it was around October last year that they were doing a promotional offer for £1.99 per film. In this week we actually bought about 5 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nothing on?? Go to FRONT ROW (208 words)
by - written on 25/11/00 (Very useful, 197 readings)
Rating:

Front Row is just like Sky Box Office; you pay £2.99 for a movie and then sit down and watch it. It’s a great way to watch films especially if you don’t want to fork out all that money for movie channels. They have loads of the latest films, what tends to happen is a few weeks after a film is released on video it appears on Front Row. To keep track of what’s on Front Row you can look at the Front Row promotional channel [Channel 50] Alternatively find out what’s on by checking local press, the Radio Times have listings or look at the CHOICES magazine all ntl: customers get with their bills each month. Front Row has 4 channels ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Front Row: Front line rip off! (119 words)
by - written on 30/10/00 (Useful, 80 readings)
Rating:

I think that charging for watching these films is daylight robbery. We have cable and to subscribe to all the movie channels (sky movies premier, sky cinema etc)it costs 45.00. Now, if I am paying this large sum of money each month, I want to see all the films that are available to cable. Why, therefore, shouldnt the 'front row' films be included in the 'sky movie premier' films? It is just another big rip off. I would never give them 2.99, I will wait a few months and get it on a movie channel. (cables arguement is that they have to pay extra for access to these films...tough! they make enough profit out of us as it is!) ...  Read the complete review
