The History channel is a channel based around our history as a country but history based around the world as well. The channel has a large amount of programs based on the second world war and Adolf Hitler more than anything else which can be pretty boring but if you love to find out information on the past this channel is the place to ...  Read the complete review

I love History - anything ranging from the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, ranging through the Tudors, the Stuarts, and famous criminals like Jack the Ripper, to more recent history - Suffragettes, the two World Wars , and Martin Luther King . So, you'd think that the History Channel would be right up my street wouldn't you ? ...  Read the complete review

I've always liked History from being a schoolchild, so when I first got the chance to watch this channel on satellite TV I grabbed it. For me this is an excellent channel which is repeated on Sky a hour later History+1, (logically enough). The range of programmes shown is immense covering virtually every period from the ...  Read the complete review

I love the History channel - Sky 529, then repeated on 530. I believe if you know about history then you know about the present and have better understanding of life - good or bad. I prefer 20th century history and the History Channel have had some brilliant programmes on world war 1 and 2, the Russian Revolution, Stalinist ...  Read the complete review

As far as I am concerned my TV can be welded to the history channel. It is the most informative and interesting channel on TV. It is factual and so absorbing. I have been accused by my wife of living too much in the past and when I have had a scotch or two, I begin to reminis and recall bygone days. I get very nostalgic, but I love ...  Read the complete review

The women have "Lifetime-Television for Women" and the cable gods handed men "The History Channel". Is it fair? It could be fair if the channel actually was a history channel instead of the Hitler channel, Marlboromax's mom actually came up with the name for the channel and she is quite right. They just dwell on ...  Read the complete review

When I was studying for my 'A' levels, I found this channel extremely helpful. It gave excellent insight into wars, battles, people and the past itself. This is one of the best channels ever brought to sky I watch it all the time. The programmes are varied but they are shown quite a lot of times. If you have digital you get the extended hours. Programmes include the world at war, Sink the Bismark and the battlefield. All age ranges should find this channel very intresting especially if ...  Read the complete review

Answers on a postcard, please!). I have been a fan of the history channel since its launch - like most of us ...  Read the complete review
