Advantages: This product may be OK with young skin

Disadvantages: Not so good on older skin - dries it out.

I have recently purchased a Derma Wand from Ideal World. The presenters assured the customers that this product was a safe and easy way to tighten up the facial muscles and help reduce lines on all types and skin and all ages. I used this wand only twice after viewing the video and following the instructions but the following day my face was very sore and the skin around my chin line and corners of my mouth were swollen and dry. I have had to re-hydrate my skin and it has taken three days to almost come back to normal.

The Derma Wand uses small electric impulse currents that are directly applied to the skin. (I would think that this would be a similar sensation to the trick handshake with an electric pulse). This could be of benefit to younger people with a more pliable skin but I am an older customer and would recommend anyone wanting to purchase this product to think very carefully about what they are applying to their face.
