Advantages: None that I can think of unless you are at home 24/7

Disadvantages: Poor communication, useless customer service centre, expensive telephone charges

I have used Ideal World TV several times and until now had found them to be ok. That was however until something went wrong. I ordered a Ryobi Strimmer with accessories on 2nd May and was told it would be delivered on 8th. That changed to 11th but the courier didn't wait for someone to get to the door before driving off. We phoned them and told them no-one would be in the next day unless they delivered before 9. They tried at 1.20! When we phoned we were told Ideal Home would have to authorise a third delivery, They didn't get back to them in time so they returned it. I sent 2 e-mails, no reply, I telephoned, - same problem as everyone else. expensive calls and left hanging on the line - no help. I wrote a formal letter of complaint asking for them to intervene. I received a call saying the item had been returned and asking whether I wanted a refund or the item delivered again, I asked for it to be re-delivered and was told it would be delivered in 10 working days, I asked why my e-mails had not been answered, no response. I received a letter 8 days after my complaint acknowledging receipt and telling me my complaint was in a queue and would be answered as and when! I then received a call telling me I would receive a refund in 7 working days. I said I didn't want a refund I wanted the goods and was basically told there was no record of my e-mails or my letter or my previous conversations. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available so I asked for one to call me back, they refused. I hung up and today have sent a second letter of complaint. As a warning they seem fine until something goes wrong and then they are impossible to get hold of, don't respond to e-mails or letters and are useless on the phone. I will not be using them again and will be making as many complaints about them to as many people as possible. Beware!
