Disadvantages: Sometimes could cause more problems that information

Well what can you say. ITN a programme just for news what more could you ask for? Well more good news would be a start, but wouldn't everyone. The thing that really confuses me is how each channel broadcasting the same news always seem to have that little bit of different information how do they do that? They are probably all stood around in the same area! I know the news companies don't like to get things wrong but sometimes they do don't they, and for the public hanging on every word said it sometimes causes big problems. Look at the Fuel crisis for instance. I am not saying that ITN got it wrong but within hours of the protesters protesting it became headline news. People panic bought and to a certain degree they still are, garages are getting fuel but people fill up as soon as they see the tanker as they don't want to miss the boat even if it still means waiting over 2 hours. Perhaps if the news companies got their heads together and restricted broadcasting the issue until talks were under way the news would not have spread so quickly and the country would't have been in a state of panic, and the Hospital and Police E.T.C wouldn't have had a red alert themselves. I agree we should be told news as it is happening, but by not realising the scale of the fuel problem it nearly brought the country to a stand still. How would the T.V crew have got around to bring us news on other events around the country if they had run out of fuel themselves? We would't have known anything then. It is just a thought that not all news should be broadcasted as it happens and in honesty somethings should never be made news at all, but like most as soon as something is going on I want to know about it but I also wish sometimes that I hadn't bothered finding out.
