ITV is an okay channel, but not doing the best for its viewers (ITV 1)

I'm sorry to say ITV is in decline. It has been on our screens for years and it has of course produced some good-quality programming.

On the other hand, it is now in financial difficulties because no one wants to advertise on the channel and what is ITV's response? Cut back spending on popular shows! Now there are a lot of studio programmes, such as game shows, which are cheap to produce, old films, which premiered ages ago on Sky. They still do a good job with the football.

ITV has an HD channel. Great! Only, as before when ITV was not available on Sky, there is a new petty argument, meaning that ITV HD can only be manually tuned if you have the new Sky+HD EPG. There are only a couple of HD programmes per week and, even then, ITV cannot get it right. Some of the drop-outs have been awful.

Summary: Could this be the end for ITV? Or will they keep on avoiding expenditure until there is little left
