Advantages: Great line up of trash TV

Disadvantages: Is there too much Charmed you can watch in the day!

Recently I was reviewing the channels I get with my Virgin Media package to ascertain if it was worth getting rid of it or keeping it. It has become an expensive monthly expense and I was looking at ways to save cash.

In honesty, I discovered that nearly every channel I watched was available with a Freeview box...all except Living TV.

I have to admit that the thought of losing this channel filled me with dread. It is by far one of the most successful channels available on satellite or cable and I believe that it is because it knows what programmes to pick to keep you interested.

I have been an avid Living TV fan for many years...I fondly remember the swishing hand logo - made famous by Jerry Springer to advertise their channel.

I have stuck with this channel because it offers me a good range of trash TV and TV that I can enjoy without it all getting abit too heavy. It is the OK/Heat magazine of the television world.

My other half loves Charmed and can sit and watch that for hours at a time...there are usually three episodes on a day so there is no shortage of it on in our house!

Other highlights have to include America's Next Top Model - One of the cheesiest programmes ever made...but what a programme...bitching, fighting and arguing...and that is just the judges!

Many of the programmes are repeated throughout the day and there is also a Living + 1 and a Living 2 now - such is the populariy of the channel.

Spiritual Mediums make up most of the afternoon slots, along with chat show extremes such as Jerry Springer and Maury Povich.

The ghost and spirit genre is a popular part of the channel line up with Ghost Whisperer, Most Haunted and various haunted house programmes festooning the channel. It is also, the home of Will and Grace, with episodes played almost daily.

One of the best things the channel does is called Hangover TV.... amust for Sundays when one is feeling a little bit delicate, you get back to back episodes of favourite shows that you can sit in bed and enjoy...shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Ok...so it may not be BBC4, but it is a lot of fun...and well worth the cable box!

Summary: A must for trash TV fans

Clever lot at Sky - they have to have one USP and I guess this explains what it is! Richard.
