Advantages: Perfect if you love alternative/indie.

Disadvantages: Maybe not for you if you like more mainstream music.

MTV2 is perfect for you if you love alternative and indie music, but if you dont fit into this genre, then im afraid this might not be for you.
I myself, being a indie fan, absolutely love this channel and the music it plays. Apart from playing great music videos, it has short hourly countdowns of certain charts, but this way you can quite easily sit down and watch the top ten of the day, keeping up to date with modern music. They also have a myspace chart which is really good at showing you what the 'new' songs are of the week. This is different to other channels who tend to show the top 50 or even 100, where realistically, most people dont watch the entire show.
The channel itself is well designed, with funny and clever cartoons which appear at the start and at the end of every break, which are related to music. The breaks themselves, dont repeat the adverts every time which makes the channel less boring.
The channel really keeps you up to date with modern music, i would recommend watching the new music stuff they have on, if you are wishing to check out the latest indie music, which is more than usually really good!
