Great Music, great channel! (MTV 2)

Well for those of you who have never seen it, MTV2 is basically what MTV used to be. It plays non stop music 24 hours a day. Unlike actual MTV which does not really seem to play music anymore for some reason. So in recent years we have been given MTV base, MTV Hits, MTV Dance, MTV +1 and then of course MTV2. Out of all the MTV channels this one is by far my favorite.

So MTV2 play mainly indie, rock type music. They play all the latest videos from the latest alternative bands. If your into your pop music, this isn't for you! So MTV2 plays bands such as Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Oasis, Kings of Leon etc... All that kind of music.

The channel does have adverts which is probably its only downfall. But I suppose they have to make their money somehow. Shows that regularly feature on MTV2 are thinks like 'The Official Rock Chart' which plays the biggest rock songs of the moment. 'The Myspace Chart' this plays the top ten songs voted for on Myspace, this is a good show for hearing new bands. 'Gonzo' presented by Zane Low, Zane has some of the biggest bands on his show, he interviews them and plays all the latest music. Then there are Live shows where you get to hear some live bands. Plus shows that feature specific bands and things like that.

To be honest this is the kind of channel you will only enjoy if you like a certain type of music. I do like this music, so it's a channel I often have on in the background when I'm working on the computer. It's also a good channel to have on in the back ground if you have some friends round.

One of the little features I enjoy about this channel are the little segways between video clips or at the end of adverts etc... They are only short so they don't get annoying, and some of them are quite humerous.

Overall this is an excellent channel for fresh music. It has everything you want if your into your indie rock type music. Give it a try!
