Advantages: MTV music video awards, the news

Disadvantages: long adverts, no music, makes me feel cheated

Music television. If the name was anything to go by, you would expect a lot of music to be going on when you check out this channel. This is the exact oposite to what is on the channel nowadays.

I remember the simpler times when if you wanted music, you could put on MTV and it would have all the best new music, but that was about 10 years ago. Now all that is on MTV (MTV 1 atleast, the other MTV channels have music, such as MTV hits, MTV 2 etc.) is rubbish reality TV shows with stuck up teenagers. I simply no longer take the time to look at MTV anymore.

This is not even mentioning the adverts, which last about 5 minutes, every 10-15 minutes. It makes watching the unbearable TV shows on the channel even more unbearable.

The channel does have a silver lining however, MTV has great up to date news which is usually interesting to watch if you are interested in new songs or "celeb gossip". The MTV music video awards are also showed on this channel, which is always interesting with live performances and britney kissing madonna etc.

All in all, i rarely watch this channel, only to see the awards and occasionally news.

Summary: Only watch it for special things like the awards!
