They may be loads of different channels but what good are they if the music quality is so low being an interactive service means slow access, no videos, poor quality. It would be nicer if the the channels were numberd in the epg. The range of music is good but very repetitive. there are better channels on sky.Music Choice has some serious faults espicially giving up the Volksmusik channel which caused lots of angry viewers. Overall- Satisfactory but should be MUCH better- 2/5
What the hell has Music Choice done? Previously all the 50 Music Choice channels were on seperate channel numbers on the Sky EPG, but last month they put them all onto two channels, which has completly spoiled the service. Many users of Sky are using the first generation boxes which are very slow in the interactive side of things, so whereas before you used to be able to just go to the Sky channels, now you have to go to channel 480 and wait for the icon to load which says press red before you can even get into the service, this takes a good 30 seconds before your fully loaded up and in the service. Even once you are in the interactive service it takes forever for the channels to load up. It seems that they have only done this to make money from advertising banners which run across the bottom of all the channels, a bad move from the marketing people from Music Choice! The old channels used to have a dark screen colour so as to prevent screen burn on older sets, but this version has bright red and white colours which I have a felling for people who leave it on for a while will end up having Music Choice sprawled across all the channels! Definatly a big thumbs down for this service. One thing I will add is that you can jump via numbers in the service, although the numbers go in no particular order, so are not much use for people only browsing.
Music Choice is just simply blank channels with music playing. There’s nothing to watch on Music Choice just listen. In cable areas Music Choice is plugged into the radio and you can hear radio stations from Music Choice. ON sky digital you can receive 10 free Music Choice channels and can upgrade to around 48 Music Choice channels for £5 a month. Music Choice has loads of music to choose from, from German Rock to Classical, most music tastes are catered for. Music Choice is available on sky digital and some stations through your TV on most cable companies. Music Choice is brilliant to listen to, there’s no adverts, no DJ’s just simply music, its good to have on in the background when your on the PC or something, its just like a radio but through your TV.
