Advantages: keeps kids happy, some amusing shows

Disadvantages: not much variety

Nickelodeon is a kids channel available on pay tv. As with the majority of cable channels the programming isn't that varied and there are repeats frequently.

For this kids this is great because it keeps them quiet but there always seems to be only a handful of programmes that come on everyday. The channels major prize is Rugrats and without fail it dominates most of the morning schedule. Occasionally there are new episodes and this is the place you'll see them first. The rest of the main output is like this.

KEENAN AND KEL

These two guys are pretty funny, they are two frineds who constantly get themselves into the most stupid situations. Again it's aimed at kids but the duo are good comedy performers who can't help but raise a smile on the face of an adult.

SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH
--------------------------
This is kind of the kids Buffy The Vampire Slayer. The title really sums up what the show is about. It's a likeable show with some good characters and enjoyable goofy situations.

SISTER SISTER
--------------
This is about two adopted identical twins who are separated at birth but find each other when they're much older. They live together with their separate foster parents. The sisters get into all sorts of scrapes and most of the time this has some type of moral lesson to teach the viewer. Sometimes it's actually quite amusing and the mother is very amusing just through her personality.

RENFORD REJECTS

One of the few UK produced shows. This follows a group of boys who have a football team that are pretty poor. They also end uo in some sill situations and there are frequent appearances from football players.

These are pretty much the main programmes you'll find on the channels. There are the usual youth presenters and they have some good competitions. I just wish there was more variety.
