NME TV is a new channel run by CSC Media group on sky channel 377. It replaces Minx which was a short-lived channel and plays the latest and great indie music from around the world. Based on NME magazine, a lot of the music raved about in the magazine is played on NME TV.

Some of the music played on NME TV whilst i have been watching include:
- Jack Penate
- The Libertines
- Babyshambles
- The Cribs
- Joy Division
So if you like this kind of music you should love nme tv, as you might of noticed the kind of music is very similair to that played on MTV 2. This is because CSC Media Group wanted a channel to compete with MTV 2 as they already had channels to compete with the other MTV channels.

The channel plays some classic indie music whilst also supporting newer bands. Some of the listings for the next few weeks:
- New Bands 2008
- NME Archives: Manics
- Weezer Vs Green Day
- Heroes of 2007

The nme-tv part of the nme.com website isnt very informative however it does give the video of the week and some of the best upcoming shows so you might want to check it out at.

The only disadvantage with the channel is the commercials however you cant really complain about that as 98% of sky channels do.
